Quick Description: This is a rot-free California car that’s been mostly kept indoors, but should get a repaint.  I have not decided whether to keep this paint color.  It appears to be the original color, but not the original paint.

Model: 1973 280se 4.5 (US)

Transmission: Automatic (3-speed)

Recent Fixes:

Issues List:  Front suspension appears to have negative camber, and should be investigated, but does ride fine.  I have access to other w108 4.5 that could supply suspension parts. There are 1” holes behind each wheel well that should be welded.  The paint should probably be stripped and have the car completely repainted, but as you can see from the picture below, it is a good looking car.  Horn beeps when turning.  Valve stem seals or valve stems need work, but I have an entire engine from another great running 1972 4.5 I could swap in which appears to have had a top end rebuild.  It’s included with this car that already runs and drives great, just with some smoke.  Also, if left too long, it will lose transmission fluid (as it seems all old MB will do if left to sit too long).
