Project Name:  1982 500sec (euro)

Quick Description: A great car for an SEC lover.  The SEC hasn’t ever drawn me in.  I’m more of a w108, r/c107, and w126 sedan fan.  This car could be a great purchase, especially for someone who wants to do body work.  The Rust is not so bad since so little of it is in bad spots.  Rockers, undercarriage, and rear wheel wells are where it needs work.  The interior is really in great shape, but the car is losing clearcoat rapidly, apparently a bad two stage paint job was done at some point in its life.

Number of Cars Included: 1

Asking Price December 2020: $4000

VIN:

Title: Clean PA title.  Maybe late spring 2021 or summer I will title and register if not sold first.

Year: 1982

Model: 1982 500sec (euro, no US 500 was available in 1982)

Transmission: Automatic (4-speed)

Modifications and condition: Removed the aftermarket side skirts and rear bumper skirt.  Never had a front skirt.  Factory Euro headlights look great.  Paint not original.  Some weird wood on the horn pad.  Aftermarket stereo and MPH speedo.

Recent Fixes: Front suspension work to stabilize the front end.  Tie rods were bent.

Issues List:  Connecting idle control valve makes it stall.  Perhaps timing is off.
