Project Name: 1985 Red 280sl 5-speed

Quick Description: This is one of my “keeper” cars, that my family doesn’t really want me to sell because they know it’s such a nice one, a collector, a keeper, a driver.  It’s priced accordingly, but fairly.

Online Thread for the main vehicle:

Modifications:  560sl Air dam. Not original wheels.  I swap back and forth between 5.5x14 alloy lightweight “steelie” wheels and 8x16 et11 Fondmetal wheels.

Recent Fixes:  Stainless exhaust system recently welded, AC charged and working well, great running car requiring very little maintenance.

Issues List: minor rust on the passenger fender bottom and around the headlights, all of which has been treated with POR-15, and could be eliminated by replacing the fender(s).  The hard top also has rust around the bottom back.  Otherwise, there is no rust on the vehicle.  The soft top has a small tear in it, but a replacement top is in the trunk ready to install, as is the hood pad.
